1 Description

User lists in courses/groups, user administration, exercises, local user administration, address book, ... have a different layout, especially when it comes to first name, last name, login, user image and link to personal profile. These "common" parts of user lists should be streamlined.

Make it worth watching
I think we at least need the basic fields which includes

  • firstname
  • lastname
  • login
  • email (if public)
  • (cellphone, skype)
  • (icons for instant messengers)
  • Profile picture if public
These fields should also be sortable. The "lastname, firstname"-only listing I find more usable for administrators. Members of groups and course should generally be able to see
  • a list
  • a gallery
  • a map
of their team members. I think the gallery should be default as this makes users more likely to upload a picture/avatar. Perhaps default view should be configurable for each users preference and a global default setting.
