1 Initial Problem

For Mediacasts of the type Podcast and Video there is no buld up or download.

For the Mediacast of the type Video and Podcast there should be

Bulk download:

I would not do this for videos, questionable if we want this for mp3. Images should be ok. A bulk download of videos would put enormous load on the server, since this would include zipping all video files into one file. For images this might be ok (zip files should be stored for re-use if no new items are added to the mediacast).

Bulk upload:

This should be ok for all file types. Afaik the multi-file-upload puts the file size limitations on the single files. If not, we would run into upload limits quickly.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 03 AUG 2020 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 7. But we only would like to have the option for a bulk upload of podcasts and videos and no download. Bulk download should only be possible for images in mediacast.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 07 MAR 2022 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and re-schedule the feature for ILIAS 8. If possible, file storage migration to IRSS would be highly appreciated for ILIAS 8 as well.
