Improve mail notification of forums

1 Initial Problem

Several pieces of information appear several times in the mail notification of forums. However, this makes it easy to overlook important information.

We therefore suggest small restructuring of the mail notification.

2 Conceptual Summary

The most important information in a notification mail of a forum are

• where does the info come from (forum title)
• what is the new post (content post)

In order to bring the important information to the fore, the following adjustments are to be made:

1. the first sentence will be completed with "new post" and the forum title
2. line "forum" and "topic" are omitted.
3. the area between the lines is supplemented with the "topic".

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 14 SEP 2020: There is a similar request called Improve subject line in mail notifications for forum postings that would be satisfied if this improvement makes it into ILIAS 7.
