Improve usability of »My Portfolios«

1 Initial Problem

ePortfolios gain more importance in academic courses. To support this need a great variety of digital ePortfolio Tools has been developed recently. With the integrated portfolio function ILIAS offers all-in-one solution. However, due to high complexity and limited functionality, users often struggles in using portfolio function in ILIAS.

2 Conceptual Summary

To improve the usability of UI of "My portfolios", we suggest following steps:

• to add drag and drop function in order to move the pages between portfolios. Note: drag &drop ist not possible on mobile phones
• to move share service into slate to give users a better overview  and more controll about sharing process
• to divide portfolio into chapters and pages (similar as learning modul) to allow users to structure and to store all learning products in one portfolio
• to make sharing process more flexible (for example sharing of one portfolio page or one chapter)
