Clean up the member view

1 Initial Problem

As part of the "Page Layout Revision" the member view was revised and adapted to the new layout. The view is represented by a frame around the content area. The new display type makes it clear that the member view only affects the content area.

Accordingly, the breadcrumbs and the tree should not change because they are not within the marked range.

2 Conceptual Summary

Breadcrumbs and Tree should not be part of memberview.

Needs to be clarified:

The memberview was designed as a kind of kiosk mode that can only be closed by clicking the "Close Member View"-button. If you leave the Member View the breadcrumbs it would not be closed (see ILIAS 6). If users reopen the course afterwards, the Member View is still activated. Only when the view is closed using the button, courses are no longer displayed in the member view.

How should the Member View behave when the context of the course is left?

9 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 28 SEP 2020 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 7. We prefer to close the member view automatically when a user navigates outside the course (tree up).

10 Implementation

Breadcrump in Member View is not shortened anymore.
The Member-View closes automatically after navigating to items outside course/group.
