Profile target level is determined by last competence entry

1 Initial Problem

In ILIAS 6.0, the best competence entry is considered for reaching the profile target level. It is not taken into account when the entry was generated. It is possible that a user has reached the Target Level profile and is therefore not asked by ILIAS to learn with the profile, although the competence entry by which the user reached the Target Lever is e.g. 5 years old.

2 Conceptual Summary

In the settings of competence management it should be possible to define how the profile Target Level is to be achieved. 2 radio buttons are introduced, the administrator can determine if,

  • the target level is reached through the best competence entry OR
  • which only the last competence entry affects the achievement of the target level.

8 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 20 JAN 2020 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 7. Please try to find a place where the selected criteria is displayed to users in their profile (to make them understand what determined their profile.
