Separation of Self-Evaluation and other Types of Formation

1 Initial Problem

Self Evaluation does not affect the achievement of the profile target level. In the user view, however, the Self Evaluation and the Profil Target Level are displayed directly below each other. Users don't understand that, see Mantis.

2 Conceptual Summary

Accordingly, the Self Evaluation of the other Types of Formation is presented in a separate area. Both areas receive a byline that explains the behavior of the formation to the user.

We are aware that the separation of entries requires more space. For this reason we want to introduce a show mor function for competence management, so that the number of displayed entries can be limited (see Introduction of a show more-function for competence entries

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 29 SEP 2019 : If I understand this request right, users complain about a missing distinction between the presented Self-evaluation result and the presented Profile Target Level in the current implementation and miss that the Self-Evaluation result has no impact on the Profil Target Level. If so, the presented mock-up in 3.2 is still too cautious IMHO – maybe because of a lack of options in the used UI elements from the KS.
 
Distinction between Self-Evaluation block and Profile Target Level could be forced by

1. … using a bigger headline for both (sub-)titles ("Selbsteinschätzung", "Profilvergleich") to give this information more visual impact. On the mock-up it is just the same font-size as the text above and is easily overseen. But in fact this title has a higher hierarchy which should be respected in typography.
2. … using another background colour for the current competence level (here: "kooperativ"). Instead of using the same blue colour like in the Profile Target Level, Self-evaluation results could just be presented with a dark grey background and white font. Blue background would then be reserved for those results that (could) influence the profile.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 23 SEP 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 7. Please consider Matthias's suggestions for a clearer distinction of the different areas.

Famula, Thomas [tfamula], 01 MAR 2021: I support this feature. But I have one question regarding the "show more" function: Will there be two of these buttons, one for the self-evaluation area and one for the area with all the other entries? My answer would be Yes.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 03 MAR 2021: Do we really need two "Show More"s? I guess the number of self-evaluations won't increase that much. And the major reason for "Show More" is to present a screen that shows the most recent information on one view. If this presentation isn't sufficient for me, I click on "Show More" to see more datasets. BTW: Is it really a "Show More" or a "Show All"? If it is just a "Show More", how many new items will be presented per click?

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 08 MAR 2021: We highly appreciate the suggestion for a clear distinction between self-evaluation results and all other measuring results. We re-schedule the feature for ILIAS 8. All questions concering Show More buttons will be discussed on the dedicated FR Introduction of a show more-function for competence entries.
