Abandon «online» for Portfolios
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Reasons to Abandon Feature
In a recent training seminar NONE of the participants of a protfolio assignment managed to bring the portfolio in. I investigated and found out that beside minor side issues the «online» status was the biggest single hinderance.
Since the portfolio is no repository object there is no reason for having an online status.
- With assignments the portfolios should be accessible to tutors oce they are submitted without ado.
- Portfolios should be visible to other people once they are shared.

5 Discussion
Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 18 OCT 2022: Why this is a feature request and not an abandon request? A page "Abandon online status for portfolio" that uses the template for abandoning a feature would fit much better.
Kergomard, Stephan [skergomard], 05 OCT 2023: I would kindly ask you to consider changing this request slightly. Instead of removing the online status from the portfolio, please make set it to online by default. This would allow consistency across objects. I would very much like to make a standardized online status mandatory for all objects in ILIAS. This would allow to simplify our codebase and create a more understandable concept.
6 Implementation
{The maintainer has to give a description of the final implementation and add screenshots if possible.}
REMOVED Test Cases
