Usage Intensity of Help

1 Initial Problem

There is no data to foster understanding of the usage of the help and its specific parts. However, this would be extremely valuable to steer resources towards the parts most used. The help package is too big to afford all parts with the same attention.

2 Conceptual Summary

Within any given installation it should be possible to anonymously track which pages of the help were presented.  The Help System is extended to allow for tracking. The tracking data can be exported.

The Export must comprise

  • the specific ILIAS Release,
  • include the specific Help Release from the LOM Data of the package

7 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 12 AUG 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for 6.0. Please add a filter on the screen "Help Page Usage" that allows to filter for "Title", "Chapter" and "Screen ID". This will make this feature even more helpful.
