Abandon Learning Module Default Layouts

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

In ILIAS 6.0 "Glossary Terms" and "Media Objects" are to be displayed in a slate. Both will have their own tab in the Mainbar >> Tools section as a kind of tool with which users can work through a learning module.

For views like the presentation layout, further discussions (Kiosk-Mode) are held parallel. Such a view should be streamlined for all ILIAS objects.
A kiosk mode is understood to be a special mode to display certain applications, or in the ILIAS context, certain views in an application where the user gets less control over the application or feature than usual. This is traditionally used for the unsupervised operation of the application at public locations like museums or train stations, where the user e.g. should not be able to perform otherwise common operations like closing a window or shutting down the system.

2 Technical Information

{The maintainer has to provide necessary technical information, e.g. dependencies on other ILIAS components, necessary modifications in general services/architecture, potential security or performance issues.}
