Interactive Video - VIMP as video source

1 Initial Problem

We need the video portal VIMP as another source in the interactive video.

2 Conceptual Summary

We suggest to design the same way as the Youtube/Vimeo connection. We need the connection as of VIMP version 4.0.7.
With the new VIMP version 4.0.7 and 4.1.x VIMP has improved a lot concerning the API connection. It is not necessary to support older versions.


Here are the mockups:

Access protection: We don't need to distinguish whether a video is public, hidden or private. All videos to which a user has access (including his private or hidden ones) may also be used by him in the interactive video and played by the students.

If you have (ILIAS-controlled) access to the Interactive Video object, you can also play the videos.

Possible video sources:
You should be able to enter the "Permalink" (for public videos or private videos) or the Direktlink (for hidden videos) there. In VIMP you can get these links via the SHARE button:

Permalink:
- available at public Videos for all users
- available at private Videos only for owner (as he is the only person who can find and watch the video in VIMP)

Direktlink:
- available at hidden videos: only the owner can see the Direkt-Link behind the SHARE-Button.

Note from the meeting on 27.11.19 "Guido Vollbach explained to us, that this feature is possible as a separate video source plugin.
