Central Mark Schema for Exercises

1 Initial Problem

Manually created mark schemes in objects forbid the aggregation of marks.  Exercises should be able to aggregate marks. They should be able to employ centrally administered mark Schemas for that.

2 Conceptual Summary

Administration > Exercise > Settings > Mark Schema
This new sub-tab offers an option to configure a mark scheme: Administrators could devise

  • how many steps the mark scheme should comprise
  • how the steps are labeled (Number, short form, official form)
Every scheme need to project itself to another scheme.

The settings should not change existing Exercises but merely apply to newly created ones. This must however not screw up old results of pre-existing exercises.

Within new Exercise the Marks Schema should be presented in the respective tabs and tables.
