Manual Sorting for Competences in Competence Profiles

1 Initial Problem

The sortation of the competences that are assigned to a competence profile is currently handled by the order in which the competences are added. Thus, if new competences are added, they can only be appended. This is not satisfactory since things that do not have any internal connection with each other end up being displayed next to each other.

2 Conceptual Summary

The table that is used in order to show the competences that are assigned to a profile gets a new column for manual numeric sortation.

The order that is set there is used in all competence lists in which all competences from the profile are shown (PD, Courses, Groups, ...)

3.1 List of Affected Views

During implementation we noticed that the list of affected views is not correct. Enclosed you will find the corrected list. The previous list can be viewed in the acckodeon.

7 Discussion

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 11 JUN 2019: The offered screenshot in chap. 3.2 does not give me an impression of the suggested changes of the user interface(s). I think it wouldn't be very difficult to offer satisfying screenshots for this feature. But this one is not sufficient, sorry.

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 31 JUN 2019: I have drawn and completed the User Interface Details. In ILIAS sorting can be done in two different ways. The JF has to decide which of them should be implemented.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 12 AUG 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and prefer option 2 (no sub tabs). Feature accepted for ILIAS 6.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 20 JAN 2020 : We still like to have this feature and re-schedule it for ILIAS 7. Option 2 is still the preferred one.

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 06 JUL 2020: During implementation we noticed that the list of affected views is not correct. The tabs Group > Competences > Competence Assignment and Group > Competences > Competence Assignment do not show competence profiles. Accordingly, the feature does not affect these tabs.
