PDF Export for Survey Results

1 Initial Problem

If users want to export the results of a survey as a PDF, you must open the print view and select "Save as PDF" under Print Objective. This procedure is not familiar to many users.

That's why we want to introduce an Export as PDF Feature.

2 Conceptual Summary

The Toolbar displays an additional "Export as PDF"-button next to the "Print"-button. If a user clicks on the button, the print preview is generated as a PDF file and the download of the file starts.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 04 APR 2019 : 'Export' might be technically correct. But why not using a label like "Result as PDF" for the button. This more precise from the point of view what you get here. 'Export' should be kept as label for the export of the survey itself.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 24 APR 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 6.0. Please use the label "Result as PDF" for the button to create the PDF. And please consider that we might abandon PhantomJS with 6.0 and that additional efforts might be necessary to run this feature with WKHTML2PDF.
