1 Guideline

In many scenarios, authors work for a longer time in ILIAS. Then these users should have the possibility to Save and Continue immediately their actual work.
Some objects or services do fullfill this already. Other objects or services need improvements.

Object / Service / Form	Examples of current possibilities	Suggested possibilities
Course/Group settings	Button "Save". User can continue working.	- no change required -
Course/Group Relevant User Data	Button "Save" => ILIAS saves and close the form. This is OK.	- no change required -
Test: Edit a question	Button "Save". User can continue working. Button "Save and Return"	- no change requirede -
Mail: Save as Draft	Button "Send Message" Button "Save as Draft": ILIAS saves and closes the form.	With the following improvement, "Save" and "Save and Return" save the mail as a draft. - "Save and Return" - "Save" - "Send Message"


Datacollection: Edit-mode of a entry	Button "Update Entry". ILIAS saves and closes the form.	Similar to the test, the DC should have the following three Buttons: - "Save and Return" - "Save" - "Cancel"
