Tabs

Open Portfolio Submissions from «Submission and Grades»

1 Initial Problem

If assignments of the type 'Portfolio' is submitted, ILIAS creates an export-zip. Tutors inspect these zip file to grade the submission. Inspecting the zip file has very few fans, people do not like it.

2 Conceptual Summary

  • The table 'Submissions and Grades' gets a new Action 'Open Submission'. This Action is offered in the Multi-Actions below and above the table, too.
  • Selecting the Action opens a new tab in which the exported submission is opened.
  • The export files are opened in a separate tab without any ILIAS navigation.
  • Tutors have to close the tabs manually.

3 User Interface Modifications

3.1 List of Affected Views

  • Exercise > Submissions and Grades
  • new tab to display export

3.2 User Interface Details

3.3 New User Interface Concepts

None.

4 Technical Information

We treat the submission, which is an HTML export, in the same way as HTML learning modules. Files would be located in an exercise related subdiretory of the web data dir. (WAC handling necessary)

7 Discussion

Samoila, Oliver [oliver.samoila] 2018-11-26:
We could use the header to store specific information - no navigation.
Proposal: Submission by [Last Name, First Name [Username]], Exercise: [Exercise Title], Assignment [Assignment Title] at [Date]

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 11 FEB 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 6.0. Please feel free to suggest a new KS element to display additional information for HTML exports. But this could be discussed separetely.

8 Implementation

{The maintainer has to give a description of the final implementation and add screenshots if possible.}
