1 Initial Problem

With the rise of open educational resources Creative Commons support becomes more and more important in ILIAS. But the current support of CC licences in ILIAS still has some shortcomings:

• When an ILIAS object that is tagged with a CC licence is exported and imported in another ILIAS installation, ILIAS cannot identify the assigned CC licence but use the option of "Own Copyright licence" and writes the CC licence name and link into it. Authors have to re-set the correct copyright afterwards manually.

2 Conceptual Summary

Problem described above should be solved as follows:

• When importing an object with a CC licence, ILIAS should try to detect the assigned licence by analysing the used URL. If this URL matches to an existing CC licence available at the importing platform, the content should be assigned to this licence directly.

4 Technical Information

The export of lom meta data needs to changed. Currently only the title of the chosen copyright entry is exported. To support the described szenario the complete copyright entry - including image link and href - needs to be exported.
