Content Page: Automatic Learning Progress Determination
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
While implementing the Introducing Content Page Object feature, we realized that the 'Content Page' lacks of a learning progress mode which ensures an automatic status determination for the users. An automatic detection is required if the 'Contet Page' is used as material in a Introducing Learning Sequence Object. Adding this new mode should be considered as a 5.4.x development issue.
2 Conceptual Summary
The 'Content Page' object already registers/tracks read events of a user via the ILIAS 'Tracking' service when the user requests the contents of a 'Content Page'. If a user accessed/visited the contents of a 'Content Page' object, the learning progress should be determined als 'Completed'. This behaviour is similar to the 'File' object, where the read event is tracked 'on download'.
It should be considered if the implementation could be streamlined. To achieve this we MUST think about/decide on a generalized name and description for this learning progress mode.

7 Discussion
Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 16 JUL 2018: My suggestion for a general label for this kind of LP would be: "Visited" / "Besucht". This works fine with the Content Page but also with other objects like a HTML LM.
- Visited
- Learning progress status is set to 'completed' when object has been presented to user.
