xAPI: Basic Learning Progress Tracker

If you need any help in filling out this wiki page, please visit our ILIAS Community FAQ.

1 Initial Problem

xAPI learning objects will be producing learning progress, thus need the common settings to manage it.

2 Conceptual Summary

Learners would need to decide, whether they want to:

  • deactivate LP in this object
  • manually set LP by tutors/admins
  • have LP be evaluated, based on the response of the content
With the introduction of the CMI-5 profile (xAPI: Support of multiple Assignable Units), there are already well defined statements to use in context of an LMS, which allow exact mapping to the ILIAS LP (statements such as “passed”, “failed”, “score” etc.)
Further implementations will consider further profiles and may consider a more flexible approach to evaluating and mapping the data.

3 User Interface Modifications

{Please list all views (screens) of ILIAS that should be modified, newly introduced or removed.}
