Big Start Button

1 Initial Problem

The button to start/continue a test or a survey is currently part of the button tool bar and often not seen by users. They enter the info page, read the information about the text and then need to find out how to start the test.

2 Conceptual Summary

Having a big start on the Info page of a test/survey would be improve the usability of the test and reduce desorientation of users. The button should be placed under the introductory message and centered. If additional information is opened, the stays at the same place.

Amstutz, Timon [amstutz], 2018-05-15: Just as a hint, you probably want to use the graphical button (see: https://github.com/ILIAS-eLearning/ILIAS/pull/882) for this with some "Play" like symbol on it. It is designed for exactly this use case. Nevertheless, for the very concrete cases (test and survey) it is probably good to use this FR and discuss it in the JF.

UI: Launcher Component solves this issue

Schmidt-Sielex, Wolfgang [WSS] 2023-07-20: Feature has been discussed by a sub-group of SIG accessibility and set to 'outdated'. The visibility of the button has already been improved and although there are other accessibility issues with the current button concept, those will be solved with the new 'launcher component' as it was already commented.
