»Course Availability Start« Relative Date for »Remind Users to Participate«
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
In ILIAS 5.3 »Remind Users to Participate« requires an absolute date. This unfortunately forces tutors to manually set it. However especially popular seminars in further education are copied over and over again: It would be most helpful if only the »Course Availability Start« need manually chaning and then the survey would start reminding relative to it.
2 Conceptual Summary
The option »Remind Users to Participate« should offer an option to make the start of reminders depend on the »Course Availability Start« or »Course Period Start«.

4 Technical Information
Killing, Alexander [alex], 25 June 2018: This request adds another subtle complexity to the notification / reminder handling in objects. The notification settings are usually done "by object id". Meaning they affect all linked instances of a repo object. The dependency on a course starting date is based on tree structure, thus depends on the "ref id" of objects. This needs some decisions on the general notification concepts. Since there is neither an established API nor a documentation that lightens up these concepts I would require for a conceptual work, first.

7 Discussion
Killing, Alexander [alex], 25 June 2018: I support the request in general but think we need to do some conceptual work first, since it adds additional complexity to the notification/reminder features (see "4 Technical Information").
