Page Editor for Survey Pages

1 Initial Problem

Currently it is not possible to edit and layout survey pages by using additions texts, media, tables, column layout and so on. Thus, informational passages have to included in question texts. Furthermore, we cannot control where questions are placed or, for example, place survey questions next to each other on  the survey page.

2 Conceptual Summary

It should be possible to style and edit survey pages by using the ILIAS page editor.

We would like to be able to to...

• insert texts, media, tables, ... in between and around questions
• place questions anywhere on the survey page by using tables and column layouts

This means, that each survey page becomes a "normal" ILIAS PME editor based page. Questions will be added just like test questions are added to pages in a learning module.

7 Discussion

Killing, Alexander [alex], 2 May 2018: I think this might me possible, but requires a lot of rework in the survey implementation. The current state of the proposal is not Jour Fixe ready in my view. It lacks any editing screen. Especially the current question table view will cannot continue to work as it does now, since page definition will be done by the page editor. Question sequence determination will also be a big issue, since this is important for all evaluation screens.
