Save Reminder

1 Description

Many people forget to click the save-button after they have made changes in a form. This is especially the case when the Save button is invisible because it is at the end of the page.

Is it possible to help these forgetful users by using java script features or something else? I know, that's the normal behavior of web browser applications, but people are used to Word etc. where they get a warning.

Roberto del Mastro mentioned in his presentation at the ILIAS conference in Budapest 2009 that they have implemented the same feature in their installation.

JF 14 Dec 2009: We would appreciate such a feature. Funding would be needed and we must evaluate possibilities to implement it.
