Page Editor Page Templates
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
Outside the Portfolio and the SCORM 2004 editor the Learning Module editor does not offer page templates. Page templates would however make an authors live much easier.
2 Conceptual Summary
For reasons of uniformity, the click paths and screens are based on working with page templates in portfolios. Page templates should be able to be used in an ILIAS learning module as follows.
- After clicking on "Add page", a new screen is displayed to the user.
- Users can choose whether they want to create a simple page or use a page template.
- Clicking Save creates a new page.
- The administration of Page Layouts gets a face lift and new objects to which it can be applied.

7 Discussion
Killing, Alexander [alex], 10 July 2019: I support the idea.
JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 29 JUL 2019 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for 6.0. We prefer option 2 when creating new pages based on page templates. And we check if page templates are still using layout tables instead of column layouts and probably create a separate request to improve this.
