Bibliographic List Item: Sorting of Fields in Detail-View

1 Initial Problem

There is currently no clear order in the definition of the fields of a Bibliographic List Item Entry in the detail-view. Therefore antries will be sorted alphabetically by their translation (where available). this can lead to some strange behaviour:

- In english, the order of the fields "page from" and "page to" is "correct".
- In german, the order of the fields "Seite von" and "Seite "bis" is switched up and unconventional

2 Conceptual Summary

The "Bibliographic List Item" in ILIAS currently supports the file-types: BibTex (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BibTeX) and Ris (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIS_(Dateiformat) ). Both file-types lack af a clear definition, wich fields can exist in the file. 

Therefore a general administration of the sorting of all available bibliographic fields in the installation is needed. A new tab in Administration -> Bibliography will offer a overview over all fields detemined in the system (by collecting all fields from all Bibl. List Items in the repository), separated in subtabs according to the two file-types BibTex and Ris:

• bibs/settings: New Tab "Fields" / "Felder" divided by two subtabs "Ris" and "Bibtex".
• Sorting of felds in every "Bibliographic List Item" in the repository accoring to the general settings in the administration

AT 2017-11-15:  I would greatly apprectiate if we could apropos this suggestion decide how this sorting / ordering is dealt with label-wise: 

• settings always use "sorting" thus I would abandon  "order". 
• the save button should carry the able "sorting / order" to indicate what it does
• the column should get unified lables. 

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 20 NOV 2017: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 5.4. Please offer a sensible default sorting with this feature. We ask the language front to check Alexandra's cases and to work out one label that we use for sorting/ordering/....
