Improved presentation of recommended material

1 Initial Problem

The information for a user about the current status of learning objectives is not that good presented as it could be.

• The grey coloured result bar is not easy to understand (why isn't there a distinction in colour but everything grey?)
• The demand to go through the following material (related to the learning objective) is bad placed: the text is at the very right side of the accordion header while the material is on the very left side of the screen.
• Once a final test has been made the information about the initial test has disappeared. Why not presenting both information?
• Is the result bar really a help for users? Or would it be better to have a kind of status bar where they can see what they already have done? At the time being there is no hint if they have already gone through the learning material recommended for one learning objective. If a user works through such a course with breaks of several days she or he might have forgotten if she has already gone through the learning module or the training tests.

2 Conceptual Summary

The current implementation of a user's view on the content of a course with learning objectives should be changed as follows:

• The demand to go through the following material should become a proper line and stay always straight before the recommended material. If the page editor is used to give additional information for a learning objective, this content should be placed between accordion header and the demand.
• Result bars should be presented for both initial and final test (if initial test exists). As long as the final test is not taken, a short notice "Not taken yet" shall be displayed instead of the result bar.
  • As an alternative a new kind of status bar should be shown that displays the percentage only when hovering the status information for one of the tests.

3 Implementation
