Media Pools: Upload Subtitles for Multiple Media Objects

1 Initial Problem

Since the development of the feature Improve Usage of Subtitles it is possible to upload multiple srt files (as zip) into single media objects or into learning modules. However it is not possible to do this for multiple media objects in a media pool.

2 Conceptual Summary

It should be possible to upload a zip file containing multiple srt files into a media pool.

• ILIAS checks for language suffixes ("..._en.srt"). Additionally ILIAS checks if the rest of the filename corresponds to filenames of video files used in content snippets of the media pool or in media objects of the pool directly.
• ILIAS shows a confirmation screen with all identified assignments before moving the files into the media objects.

Media Pool > Content > Media Subtitles (New View)

• The view contains a message similar to the one in learning modules, a file input element and an Upload button.
• After selecting a zip file and hitting "Upload" a confirmation screen lists all found assignments.
• After confirmation all corresponding srt files are moved into the media objects.

Note that the following screenshot is from the learning module, but the screen elements should be the same in the media pool.
