Learning Module: Export Master Language without Media Objects
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
Since the development of Improve Multi-Linguality and Translation it is possible to export learning modules for translation purposes in the master language. However this export still includes media objects which may use a lot of disk space.
2 Conceptual Summary
It should be possible to export learning modules for translation purpose without including the media files. The media objects should still be represented in the XML as placeholders, but their files should not be included in the export. When translations are imported references to media objects that are still existing in the master language should be used in the translated pages as well.
3 User Interface Modifications
3.1 List of Affected Views
- Learning Module > Export
3.2 User Interface Details
Learning Module > Export
- The drop down "Type" should include a new option "XML (Master Language without Media)". The export will work similar to "XML (Master Language for Translation)" with the difference that media files will only be represented as placeholders.
3.3 New User Interface Concepts
No new user interface concepts.
4 Technical Information
No special technical issues.
