Bulk Handling for Plugins

1 Initial Problem

By now (ILIAS 5.2.x), the plug-in overview page only lets you handle each plug-in individually, i.e.:

  • To update it.
  • To update its language file.
  • To activate it.
On installations with many plug-ins, this can cause a lot of work load.

2 Conceptual Summary

It would be helpful to have bulk handling, i.e. checkboxes to select plug-ins and a menu to perform the abovementioned operations for all selected plug-ins.

3 User Interface Modifications

3.1 List of Affected Views

cmps/plugins/

3.2 User Interface Details

Checkboxes and menu with "Execute" button, as familiar from other tables in ILIAS.

3.3 New User Interface Concepts

{If the proposal introduces any completely new user interface elements, please provide a link to separate feature wiki entries for each of them according to the kitchen sink template.}
