Landing Page for Editing in Portfolios

1 Initial Problem

Especially freshmen have a hard time preparing a portfolio. They are bewildered when they created it from a portfolio tempate and look at this screen: 

They have no idea what this portfolio will look like, motivation drops, anxiety rises. 

2 Conceptual Summary

We want students that create a portfolio from a template to land in the Preview of the naked template. ILIAS shows the first tab: 

Thus students can explore what they are up to.  They can click their way through the naked template. 
To edit the need to cick on the link "Edit Portfolio". Only after they saw what this whole shebang is about they need to work on the abstract representation of it. 

This is so much more user friendly. 

Additionally a message might be added to point users to the "Edit Portfolio" link. 

For portfolios created from scratch this new landing tab must not apply since students would look at a blank page. (Or this page shuld get some placeholder like the empty personal desktop has).

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], June 26, 2017: We appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 5.3. We hope to get a good suggestion how to improve the usability and visibility of the '« Edit Portfolio' link in the futuren (supporters welcome). But for this version we follow the current implementation.
