Survey Type: Self-Evaluation Only

1 Initial Problem

Requirement & Problem (english)

Requirement:

Teachers/Scientists want to create a questionnaire for self-evaluation and want to link questions with the appropriate competences.
Learners shall answer the questions for self-evaluation only for themselves and shall get the result in form of "Competence Results" (similar to online-tests).
No third party evaluators ("Raters") shall be involved.
The authors are familiar with the ILIAS survey of type "Standard".
Accees to use the questionnaire shall be allowed only by RBAC to the members of a group or a course.

Status quo / Problem (Dilemma)

• For surveys of type "Standard" the "Competence Service" is not available.
• For surveys of type "360° Feedback" the "Competence Service" can be activated in the settings of the survey. BUT: the authors are forced to make decisions about "Appraisees" and "Raters", although this is for the purpose "only self-evaluation" irrelevant.

Just the membership in a group or course does not allow users to answer the survey.

EITHER the author has to activate in the settings "Self-Evaluation" (additionally) AND has to add all group members explicitly as "Appraisees".
OR they have to activate "Open 360° Feedback".
Then the group member, when starting the survey, gets a complicated dialogue:
A field to enter a "Survey Access Code" appears. (User has none)
A textlink: "Add yourself as appraisee to this survey". If the user clicks on it he gets a button to begin the survey. But also a button to "Close survey for raters (This will give access to your statistics.) although there are no raters available in this case.

Der Bedarf:

Die Fragen in einem Fragebogen zur Selbsteinschätzung sollen mit Kompetenzen verknüpft werden, um nur den Probanden automatisiert individuelle Rückmeldung über die Ausprägung bestimmter Eigenschaften zu geben.
Die Autoren (Lehrende & WiMis) sind mit dem Erstellen von Standard-Umfragen mit dem Objekt "Umfrage" in ILIAS vertraut.
Zielgruppe der Probanden sind i.d.R. Mitglieder eines Kurses/einer Gruppe.

Status quo / Dilemma:

• Für Umfragen vom Typ "Standard" steht der Kompetenz-Service nicht zur Verfügung.
• Für die Umfrage vom Typ "360Grad" steht der Kompetenz-Service zur Verfügung, aber von den Autoren werden Entscheidungen über "Feedback-Geber" und Feedback-Nehmer" verlangt, obwohl das für das Ziel, einen Fragebogen NUR zur Selbsteinschätzung anzubieten, irrelevant ist.

Die Mitgliedschaft in einer Gruppe oder einem Kurs allein reicht nicht aus, um die Umfrage beantworten zu können.
Entweder müssen sie "Selbsteinschätzung" aktivieren (als Zusatz, nicht als ausschließliche Option) und explizit alle Mitglieder eines Kurses/einer Gruppe als Feedback-Nehmer eintragen.

Oder sie müssen "Offenes 360°-Feedback" aktivieren. Vom Gruppenmitglied wird dann (scheinbar) ein Zugangsschlüssel verlangt. Es gibt aber zusätzlich einen Text(Anker): Fügen Sie sich selbst als Feedback-Nehmer hinzu. Wenn der Proband darauf klickt, kann er die Umfrage beginnen, hat aber auch noch den Befehl "Umfrage für Feedback-Geber schließen" (Damit erhalten Sie Zugriff zu den Statistiken.) zur Verfügung (obwohl es in diesem Fall gar keine Feedback-Geber gibt.)

2 Conceptual Summary

"Self-Evaluation Only" becomes a Type of survey to be selected when creating it. 
This allows for a rather simple Settings form. 

3 User Interface Modifications

3.1 List of Affected Views

• Create dialogue of surveys 
• Settings-tab of survey
• Appraisee-tab of survey 
• Results-tab of survey

3.1.1 Create Dialogue

• New type "self-Evaluation Only" is added

3.1.2 Settings-tab

• In the first section of the form all option underneath Question Pool are removed
• In the "Results" section all options are replaced by the following: 
  • No Access to Results
  • Acces to own Self-Evaluations
  • Access to all Self-Evaluations of all Participants

3.1.3 Appraisee-tab

• The column "Raters Finished" is removed
• The column "Actions" is removed
• The option "Close Survey for Raters" is removed of the Multi-Action-Drop-Down above and below the table. This reduces it to a "Remove" button. 

3.1.4 Results-Tab

• In the subtab "Details" is removed.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], September 25, 2017: We highly appreciate this feature and suggest it for 5.4. We would like to have to changes:

1.  Tab 'Appraises' should be renamed to 'Participants'.
2.  Option 'Access to results for participants (sic!)' should have the default option 'Access to own Self-Evaluations'.
