1 Initial Problem

There is currently no way to limit the visibility of sessions and their respective appointments to registered participants of a session. 

2 Conceptual Summary

An automatically generated "Closed Session" didactic template is included into the Administration > Didactic Template. 
  • This template will remove the permissions of the local Member roles of the above Course or Group. The permissions "visible" and "read" will be removed for all unprotected roles of the upper context.
  • This template will grant the permisson visible and read for the local role Registered Participants. 

3 User Interface Modifications

3.1 List of Affected Views

  • Administration > Didactic Templates > Didactic Templates table gets a new automatically generated entry. 
  • Session Settings get new option for "Default" and "Closed" session, similar to groups.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], April 10, 2017: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 5.3. We think about if with feature we still need New Locale Role for Sessions as we could create the local role by the template as well.
