1 Initial Problem
2 Conceptual Summary
In extension of Revamp Personal Profile, the user should be able to enter a personal slogan/motto which appears on his personal profile to make it more appealing.
New ILIAS installations should be shipped with a pre-configured user-defined field.
Administrators could select different fields to appear in the header of the personal profile.
2.1 Outlook and Related Features
- Rename User Defined Field to Custom User Data Field to better reflect the fact, that such a field could come pre-configured with a fresh installation.
3 User Interface Modifications
3.1 List of Affected Views
- User Profile (and my own profile, i.e. Personal Data and Privacy > Preview)
- Personal Data and Privacy
- Administration > Profile (new category) > Settings (new tab)
3.2 User Interface Details
3.2.1 Administration
In Administration > Profile > Settings the administrator can choose a user-data-field to appear in the header of user profiles
- Highlight User Data (radio group with sub-options)
- disabled
- standard field
- Dropdown
- custom field (default: selected)
- Dropdown (default: motto)
3.2.2 User Profile
If activated, the user profile will show the motto (or any other highlighted data field) in the header as in this mockup.
3.2.3 Personal Data and Privacy
The forms of both views should reflect which data field is highlighted in the header. The simplest form would be, to move this data field to the top section "Personal Data".
