I would appreciate this feature, too. As of now the ILIAS Management Console is the only way to easily extract such data and the Console is not available for most of my "clients" (KIT, Karlsruhe).

We could need this feature as well; some docents that are not aware of the fact that a CVS-export from gruops is not possible use groups like a sub-course management.

Another option would be the possibility to create sub-courses for a more differentiated course-management

Meanwhile micro-groups become more and more popular here where a course has up to 115 (!) groups with 3 to 4 members to organize small learning/workshop groups. It's definitely not an option anymore for the admins to open every group and export the group members manually. The group membership view in the member tab is a good start. Now we only need the option to export this view as Excel/csv as well.

It would also be nice to remove the restriction that only groups on the "top level" can be viewed (and later exported). If groups are in a sub-folder of a folder they are not found at all. If you have groups within a group only the top level group is found. I don't see any reason for this. It should be easy to show and administrate all groups within a course o_O
