Abandon PR333 Stud.IP workaround

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

In Mantis #19389 it was decided that PR #333 is only accepted as "quick-and-dirty" fix for 5.1 and 5.2 and should be removed and replaced by a sound implementation with 5.3.

This ticket serves as a reminder to remove the quick-and-dirty workaround with 5.3. 

Implementation of a sound implementation should be described and discussed in a separate ticket.
