Editable LP default mode for repository object types

1 Requirements

Each repository object type that supports learning progress in general has a static list of available LP modes and the default mode which is set on creation of an object instance. The default modes are not consistent and have been discussed before. As each institution has different ways of using the learning progress it would be very beneficial to be able to set the LP default mode for each object type as an installation-wide administration setting.
As long as no changes are made to those default modes by an administrator the status quo is kept (the inconsistent static list of modes mentioned above).

A simple form would suffice, see example screenshot:

3 Discussion

, 11 Aug 2016: After a lengthy discussion we propose to enable this form only if the learning progress is NOT active. In this case the modes set by this form would be used for all instances of each object type regardless of object-specific settings (think more of global modes instead of default modes).
As the object-specific LP settings cannot be used if the LP is inactive, this new "completion status" GUI could be used as an (simpler) alternative - especially for those institutions who are not able or willing to activate the complete LP (mostly because of privacy concerns). Other parts of ILIAS could then use this "completion status", e.g. badges.
