3 Discussion
Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], April 19, 2016: Is it necessary to define which table is opened by default? Wouldn't that be always the first table in the list?
Schmid, Fabian [fschmid], April 25, 2016: We highly appreciate this feature.
, 01.06.2016: We highly appreciate this feature.
JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], June 20, 2016: We see the need of sorting tables, esp. to define the starting table. But we do not want this as a setting. It should be possible on a distinct view of all tables of a DC (which is currently not available yet). Instead of this feature request we would like to have Data Collection - Clear Distinction Between Table And Field Managing for 5.2.
4 Implementation
The sorting of tables has been implemented through the feature request Data Collection - Clear Distinction Between Table And Field Managing.
The Tab Fields has been renamed as Tables. This tab shows an overview of all tables and allows administrators to defines an order for these tables (see Screenshot below). When opening a Data Collection, the first (for the user available) table in this order will be shown. Furthermore, the order is kept in every dropdown menu containing the tables.
