Abandon SOAP Auth

This feature is rarely used (if currently used at all), includes an old nusoap lib and didn't get any funding in the last years to keep the code up to date.

3 Discussion

  April 15, 2016: We currently host Ilias for 3 customers that actively use the soap authentication. We are planning to use this feature in more projects. Please keep the soap authentication.

March 28, 2017: We are also using the SOAP authentication. We have 7 customers with over 30.000 users combined using this functionality. Are currently on 4.4 and 5.0, and have trouble getting the SOAP Auth working on Ilias 5.2.2 using PHP7 or PHP5.6.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], April 25, 2016: We see that there is still a need for a SOAP authentication. We keep the SOAP Auth and make it PHP7 compliant but would like to get rid of e-mail matching.

  April 25, 2016: I'm not familiar with the e-mail matching. What does it do?
