Abandon ‘Changed Inside’

1 Requirements

The current implementation of the feature ‘Changes in repository’ / ‘Changed inside’ is not satisfying. It shows all changes inside the repository - no matter if this is interesting for me or not. Result is a overload of ‘Changed inside’ messages in ILIAS - which are ignored by the user due to information overload... (see also Mantis 6959). Therefore, the presentation of ‘Changed inside’ in the repository shall be removed.

There are two similar feature request: Separate tracking of user access from content changes and Separating Changed Inside and Number of Read Accesses

3 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], Feb 15, 2016: We highly appreciate the suggestion to abandon the feature ‘Changed inside’ with ILIAS 5.2. The feature has been introduced as part of the WebDAV support and should therefore be removed from the responsible WebDAV maintainer.

4 Implementation

The function 'Changed Inside' has been removed in ILIAS 5.2. Vgl PR #204
