Browser identification
1 Description
A test can be configured, that it can be accessed with Safe Exam Browser only.
Purpose: To ensure that candidates cannot take a secure quiz in ILIAS with a common browser and cheat with assistance of that browser, ILIAS should be able to check the identity of the browser and deny access if candidates try to reach the test with a normal browser.
More detailed description:
In the settings of the test, in the section "Kiosk mode" an option "browser restriction (SEB)" is available. An activation of that option causes that ILIAS checks the accessing browser before the test can be started. Despite the activation of the option course administrators/tutors should be able to start the test with a normal browser (possible?). A short message that members can start the test with SEB only could be displayed.
When students try to start a test with browser restriction with a normal browser a message like "the test can be accessed with SEB only" (or similar) should be displayed on the introduction page.
