Move Password Administration to Authentication and Registration

1 Requirements

The administration settings for the password requirements, number of logins and change of user name are currently part of the user administration settings. These three blocks should be moved to Authentication and Registration » ILIAS-Auth/Self-Registration where they belong to.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], Nov 23, 2015: We appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 5.2. The following changes shall be made:

• The administration settings for the password requirements, number of logins and change of user name shall be moved to a new sub-tab "Administration » Authentication and Registration » ILIAS-Auth/Selfregistration : Password Settings".
• A short notice with link shall be added to the user administration screen to notify administrators where they can define password settings (now).
• The first tab "Authentication" in "Administration » Authentication and Registration" should be renamed to "Authentication Methods".
• On this screen, the tabs for the external authentication services like LDAP, Shibboleth, etc... should be removed and the configuration of these methods should be offered as buttons "Configure". Clicking on one of these "Configure" buttons leads you to a sub-menu where the settings of the selected method can be managed. A "« Back" button leads you back again to the "Authentication Method" screen.

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 18 AUG 2022: This request no longer fulfills the requirements of the Feature Wiki. In consultation with the maintainer I change the status of the feature request to "Redundant / outdated". If the request is still relevant, please update template and mockups.
