remove Users from Role using Search Users

1 Requirements

Its not possible to remove a group of users, after using the "search users" button in the role administration in a role.

For example:
Clicking on Administration - Roles - (choosing a role) - User assignment - Search Users - (search for users using any criteria)...

The users, which are listed now, can be ADDED to the role, but CANNOT be removed.
There should be a button "remove".

Fault-Case:
When the user selects a user for remove which is NOT member of the role the user will be skipped with or without warning.

The majority of the members of the SIG Corporate which voted at the 7th of September 2016 in Utrecht appreciate this feature request and ask the maintainer and the ProductOwner to consider the trunk-integration of this feature in reasonable way as soon there is a funding available.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], Oct 10, 2016: Finding users that should be removed from a role (incl. groups or courses) should be done by using a filter and not by using the user search (which is made to find a user which should be added). Therefore, the screen of user assignments of a role should get a filter - similar to the member screen of a course or a group. We therefore reject the feature request in the current form and suggest to use filters instead.

Kiegel, Colin [kiegel] 2016-10-10: I totally understand the wish for filters, but I don't agree this is a good reason to reject this. Both approaches could have peacefully coexisted and are useful in their own way.
