Content Snippets in Portfolio Pages

1 Requirements

Content snippets (by mediapools) should be available on pages of portfolio and pages of portfolio templates .
(The content snippets become generated and administered as usual in media pools.)

By this way, its possible to create content, that is synchronized on all portfolios that use the snippet.
Use Case I: Students, who need more than one portfolio in their study time, because of different modules, but constitute by parts of the same content by other portfolios again and parts of different and new content.
Use Case II: Sharing a structure of a portfolio by portfolio templates and frequently actualization of tasks, questions, informations and so on. (Last one is used in optes project)

3 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], April 25, 2016: We appreciate this feature and schedule it for 5.2. But we would like to have a clear distinction between own created content and external triggered content. This should be implemented for content snippets in general. A good label should be presented to make clear that this content element is filled by a media pool and is not under control of the portfolio user.

4 Implementation

Content snippets in portfolio templates work similar to their use in learning modules. Edit a page, add a content snippet, select the source media pool and then the snippet. Please note that the snippet feature needs to be activated under "Administration" > "Media Ojects and Pools".
