Extend Usage of Content Snippets

1 Requirements

At the time being, content snippets can only be used in ILIAS learning modules. Other components which use the ILIAS page editor are not supporting content snippets. At least for container object pages, portfolio template pages and wiki pages there is a clear increase of usability if content snippets could be used.

Use in cateroey, course, group and folder pages has been enabled through feature Content-Snippets for Containers.

Requirements

1. Enable content snippets in
   • portfolio template pages
   • wiki pages
   • Test questions
2. Administration setting in Administration » Media Objects/Pools to enable the use of content snippets in general (already available) and for each of the components where it can be used (incl. ILIAS LM).
3. Rearrange the first two tabs in component Media Pool and offer a tab "Content" and three sub-tabs "Tree View", "All Media Objects" and "All Content Snippets".

4 Discussion

It would be great to enable content-snippets for Test Questions as well. This would be very useful for showing syntax tips and general information on each question page.
