ILIAS can handle several help packages

1 Initial Problem

The editorial team works on a huge learning module. It takes time to work in it, to export and import it. If ILIAS could handle more than one package 

• The standard help package could be split into a 'learn&teach' part and an 'administration' part.
• For your Campus Management System & ILIAS combo you can add an extra help package
• Add a help package to inform about streaming services and the like. 
• If name space conflicts can be managed, vendors could prepare help packages and provide help for plugins: Suggested Process for Preparing Plugin Help packages

2 Conceptual Summary

Help Packages are special ILIAS Learning Modules.

• ILIAS should allow for importing, activating and displaying more than one Online Help package. 
• Packages are ordered using input fields:
  • The chapters of the package ordered first in the Administration are displayed first in the Slate.
  • Within any package the chapters are displayed at the Screen-IDs, they were hung to, in the order they occur within said learning modul. 
  • Then the chapters of the package ordered second in the Administration are displayed in the Slate. 

• The Packages may contain content for Tooltips. In case there is more than one Tooltip for a specific  adress of a tab, then Tooltipp of the package ordered first in the Administration will be displayed. Tooltips of other packages will not be displayed.
