Dynamically generated page numbers

Parallelly to the chapter numbering, it would be useful to have a facility to insert dynamically generated page numbers.
For that purpose, the chapter numbering feature could be enhanced:

• chapter numbering like available now, without any page numbering.
• page numbering only, without chapter numbering
• chapter and page numbering, both continuous
• chapter and page numbering, with page numbers startig anew in each chapter
