Personalized Search

1 Requirements

By now, there is nothing in ILIAS that offers services like an Intelligent Agent.
One first step in that direction could be a personalized search:
This could consist of:

  • A cron-job that automatically creates an individual search index for each user (who enables this).
Criteria for the creation of that index could be:
    • Entries in the user data fields “Interests”, „Need for Support“, “Support Offer” (from version 4.5)
    • Title (and further metadata) of:
      • last visited objects
      • objects the user is a member of
      • objects for which the user has stated notes or comments
      • objects on the user's desktop
    • Tags of the user
    • Selected competences of the user
  • An option in the search function to use this index (analogously to „Last Search Result")
