Default options for navigation buttons in ILIAS Learning Modules

1 Description

Up to now, navigation links/buttons in ILIAS Learning Modules have to be applied 100% manually, by internal links or by HTML.
There are some options that could be offered as default options:

  • Internal link to the starting page of the superordinated container object
  • Internal link to the first/last page of the same module
  • Internal link to the first/last page of the same chapter
  • Internal link to the page of the Module that is indicated by Metadata relation entries like "Relation > Is Based on" and "Relation > Is Basis for"
  • "Back" link with javascript:history.back() functionality
  • "Close" link with javascript:window.close() functionality (for additionally opened windows)
  • "Back to top" link to the top of the currently viewed page
  • "Back to headline" link to the next headline above the current position
  • Link to the first page viewed in the current Learning Module session (e.g., the page that was called when clicking "Continue") ... No idea how/whether this could be realized technically!
