Update questions from pools to tests

1 Requirements

If you update a question in a test question pool, you can't update this question in several tests. At the moment you have to delete this questions in the test and add the new version from pool.

In surveys you have already the functionality to "Save and Sync Question Copies" from survey question pool. This implementation in surveys would be an additional benefit for the work with tests and test question pool.

Following changes would be required
In test question pool (implementation like in survey): If you edit a question, you get three buttons
[Save and Return] [Save] [Save and Sync Question Copies]

    1. If you click on [Save and Sync Question Copies] you get all tests, where this question was already added. You can select all tests, where you like to update the question.
    2. You can choose between [Sync Question Copies] [Cancel].
Wording
If "Sync" is not a good wording for this button, it could be [Save and Update Question Copies]. But then the survey button needs to be renamed too!

3 Discussion

Matthias Kunkel, 26 May 2014: This request was added to the 4.5 development issues but has to be treated as a feature request. The missing updated procedure in test & assessment cannot be considered as a bug. Therefore I have added this request to the list of 4.6 requirements.

Concerning the wording: I strongly recommend to use the word "Update" instead of "Sync" because it makes clearer that the question's content has been changed. Syncing is also used in random tests to fill up the set of random questions without a change of the question's content.

Jour Fixe, 02 Feb 2015: We appreciate this feature and schedule it for 5.1. Changes in tests should only by possible in this way, if they are possible by editing the test itself (permission must be given, no participant data should exist, ...).

Oliver Samoila, 29 Mar 2015 : Become metadata, in particular the data of the competence-service, synchronized, too?
