Search Portfolios used as Personal Profiles

1 Requirements

The user search in the tab User of the Search Service covers the Personal Profile Data since ILIAS 4.4.
It does not search the Portfolios users have decided to use as their Personal Profile.
 
We would like to have those Portfolios used as Personal Profiles covered by the User Search.
 
This would allow to find people that are using their Portfolios as Personal Profiles for Teams or add them as approved Contacts.
Typically portfolios contain rich and relevant information about aperson, it is worth to be found.

4 Discussion

JL / SM, 10 Apr 2014: We support this request. It is more of a search than a portfolio feature. The tricky bit could be to properly display the content snippet where the search string was found in, but both (portfolios and included blogs) are based on generic COPage elements, so that should work out somehow.

JF 28 Apr 2014: We appreciate this idea and schedule it for 4.5.

HJL., 6.10.2014: If Portfolio are used as presentation-portfolios, then this functionality is not useful, because bibliographic lists are also shown in Portfolios. Please add an option in the ILIAS-Administration, so this is an optional feature.
